As you all know, this year we proudly celebrate our 50-year anniversary. To mark this momentous milestone, several members have teamed up to organise a special lineup of projects and events celebrating both past accomplishments and those still unfolding. We’re kicking of the CACA 50th anniversary celebrations with a fabulous ’70s-themed celebration party on Saturday March 28, from 3-8pm, here at the Caloundra Arts Centre.
Not mandatory—but highly encouraged for extra fun: break out your best ’70s gear and show off your best dance moves for a chance to win prizes! Contact your group leader for tickets.
Several groups have already started art wrapping the Caloundra Arts Centre, showing the outside world what we create on the inside. We can’t wait to see the results.
This month, another exciting project begins: Small Artworks FUNraising. This ongoing initiative gives all members the chance to have creative fun while also helping CACA fund the anniversary celebrations and support the future of the Arts Centre.
The FUNraiser isn’t the only way the Caloundra Arts Centre is gearing up for the future. Behind the scenes, we’re working hard on an improved website and refreshed street signage. Stay tuned for the reveal!
A special History Display Installation will appear throughout the year at various occasions.
In July, we’ll host two weeks brimming with Wondrous Winter Workshops & Artist Talks, featuring renowned artists as tutors and speakers. And this year, Open Days will be an even greater opportunity to showcase the wonderful groups and facilities at our Arts Centre.
Then — drumroll — in October, we’ll open the CACA time capsule to honour the past and celebrate the future. We’re incredibly excited about this special year and hope you are too. We look forward to seeing all members join in the celebrations, projects, and events.
