Caloundra Quilters

Create, Connect and Quilt Together

The Caloundra Quilters group meets every Friday from 9am – 12pm and every Tuesday from 6.30pm – 9.30pm.

Caloundra Quilters aim to promote, foster, and educate in the craft of patchwork, applique and quilting. A high standard of design and technique is encouraged, with our members sharing their knowledge.

In-house workshops are held regularly where new skills and techniques are shared.  Accredited tutors are invited to conduct workshops at various times. Our group has a substantial library with many books, patterns, and subscription magazines available for borrowing.

Bus trips are organised on a regular basis and members attend Craft & Quilt shows, as well as visiting local and distant Patchwork shops. The group holds a biennial Quilt Show, the next one is in 2025. We also hold “Quilt Retreats” annually.

Caloundra Quilters members have created numerous quilts for hospitals, nursing homes, families in need, as well as donated large quilts to different charities for raffles. Caloundra Quilters (& Caloundra Stitchers Group) in conjunction with Zonta, maintain a supply of breast cushions and drainage bags for cancer patients in our local area.

Members share roles and responsibilities required to run and maintain the group. They also help with the set up and running of the two annual CACA Artisan Fairs, where they have the opportunity to sell their work. Additionally, some members have their work for sale in North Street Made artisan gift shop.

A warm invite is extended to visitors to come and see what we do. We welcome new members, enquire for a trial session!
