The Aspects of Art group meets on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Monday of every month from 9am – 12pm.
Aspects of Art promotes confidence for the beginner. Our members learn to express what we feel — not what we think others expect to see.
We travel on journeys of visual thoughts that challenge our comfort zone and provide stimulating ideas that encompass shades of design, tonal values, positive and negative, perspective, attitude and the unconventional view.
As a group “rule” we don’t know what task will be given for the day until we arrive. Members can work in any medium they chose, unless we are taking a line for a walk in ink or using graphite. Everyone’s work is critiqued at the end of the session.
Members share roles and responsibilities required to run and maintain the group. They also help with the set up and running of the two annual CACA Artisan Fairs, where they have the opportunity to sell their work. Additionally, some members have their work for sale in North Street Made artisan gift shop.
We are a happy social group. A warm invite is extended to visitors to come and see what we do. We welcome new members, enquire for a trial session!
