WONDROUS WINTER WORKSHOPS
Porcelain Wheel Throwing
with Shannon Garson
This evening workshop is all about working with porcelain, the most alluring, and elegant of ceramic materials!
Designed as an introduction to throwing with porcelain, this workshop will guide you through the unique skills and techniques needed to work successfully with this beautiful, seductive medium.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn to centre and throw porcelain clay
- Focus on hand positions and tools for better control
- Create teabowls, bowls, and moon jars
- Learn trimming and finishing techniques
- Gain tips from Shannon’s years of experience
- Build confidence working with porcelain
You’ll leave the workshop having developed a deeper understanding of porcelain and gained practical skills to continue exploring this expressive and rewarding ceramic material.

– Intermediate
– Advanced
Cost:
Non-members: $200
Members: $150

Participants to bring:
- half a bag of lumina porcelain
- your own throwing tools, supplies and a bucket

BOOKING POLICY
Important – please read:
– Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
– Workshops and artist talks, and facilities are for participants aged 18+.
Cancellations & Refunds
– Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend, so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
– Full refunds are available with at least 14 days’ notice prior to the workshop start date.
– Cancellations made less than 14 days before the start date are not eligible for a refund.
– No refunds will be issued for non-attendance, partial attendance, or missed sessions.
