Boo Weave in Me

Join fibre artist Paula Boo as she shares her journey from full-time scientist to creative practitioner. Through stories and reflections, Paula explores the connections between science and art, ancestry and place, and how community, ecology, and creativity have shaped her practice. An inspiring conversation about transformation, belonging, and living a creative life.

About the Artist

Paula Boo is an artist, musician, and environmental scientist whose practice weaves together creative and analytical ways of knowing. Working with natural fibres and salvaged materials, she explores both traditional and experimental basketry, alongside metalwork, ceramics, botanical dyeing, printmaking, and cyanotype. Grounded in a respect for weaving traditions and a commitment to ongoing learning and exchange, her work reimagines weaving as a vital contemporary art form.
