We apologise for the inconvenience.\n——————————————————————————————————————————————————-\n \nWONDROUS WINTER WORKSHOPS\nARTIST TALK\nJulia Kitto\nCreating with Nature\nWeaving with Local Plant Life\nJulia aims to inspire people to create with nature\, guided by the natural shapes and beauty\, to weave unique art forms. In this artist talk\, she will display an array of locally sourced plants suitable for weaving and discuss the process of selecting and harvesting this plant life. Julia will also demonstrate fibre preparation techniques and share a range of weaving methods suited to working with natural materials. \nAbout the Artist \nJulia Kitto is an award-winning contemporary natural fibre artist known for creating unique woven artworks made from locally sourced natural materials. Her experimental approach to fibre preparation and design flows from her passionate connection with nature and the environment. Julia has exhibited widely throughout South East Queensland and teaches weaving from her home studio.
